When It comes to relationships..how does yours add up?

“If you keep on doing what you’ve always done, you’re going to keep on getting what you always got?” I bet you have heard this saying before. I don’t agree.

The suggestion here is that nothing changes and that everything is going to remain static. The truth is, if you keep on doing what you’ve always done, it’s going to get, nothing but, worse. We need to learn how to make things better.

Here are two critical Points:

There are a lot of things to look at when it comes to business but relationships are one of the most critical things we have. Nothing really great has ever been accomplished in isolation. Great things always happens in groups or relationships.

Relationships are critical. I once read, “Relationships are like currents. They’re either taking you towards the pit, or they’re taking you towards the palace.” All of our relationships are either links to our past or bridges to our future. This can be personal or professional.

I’ve divided relationships in four different groups. People in our lives either add, subtract, multiply and divide us from our hopes and dreams. If you put this on a sheet of paper, you can create a quadrant. On the left side list the people that create positive energy and on the right side put the people that create negative energy.

The Adders and Multipliers

These are the people that create positive energy and add to our life or help to multiply your life. These people will be the ones that encourage you and believe in your ability to accomplish your goals.

I have some great multipliers in my life and I look at these multipliers as people that have constantly looked to connect me with other people.I also have to ask this question - Does this relationship add and multiply or does it subtract and divide my life?

The Subtractions and Dividers

The people that give off negative energy are the people that subtract from our lives, or divide. They strive to create a wedge between us and our hopes dreams. These are the people that constantly tell you how hard or impossible it it going to be to achieve your goals. You all have people like this in your life.

Have you ever been excited about something and then go tell your spouse or friend about it and you come up against a brick wall? All of a sudden this person is trying to tell you every reason why you can’t or shouldn’t do whatever you are trying to create in your life. It is as if they are throwing water on this fire that you had burning inside ,So you no longer have the ambition to do pursue your dreams. This person has said created doubts in your mind.

This happened because you took it to someone who is looking to divide. They have tried to create a wedge between you and what you want to accomplish. This person has created negative energy.

We can’t question people’s motives and that is my point hereot what I am talking about. What I want you to do is evaluate your relationships. We’re all socialized and we’re designed for interaction; to be involved with other people. We have dependency.

There’s no such thing as financial independence because, you are always financially interdependent on other people.ays going to need other people. This is why you need to look at the quality of your relationships.
You need to make sure that you and the people in your lifeare creating positive energy.

You will have to make hard decisions and let some relationships go. There are so many people that stay in relationships that are not healthy and that create negative energy. They tend to stay because they are familiar with the relationship and because it is comfortable. You need to let these relationships go because they are leading you away from what it is you want to achieve.Sometimes that hard decision is a very hard decision.

What I am getting at here is that you need to evaluate your relationships. You have the power to choose who you’re going to have a relationship with. Use that power.

Don’t allow anybody to hold you hostage in a relationship. If you have to let it go, let it go. The right relationships can create an unbelievable amount of success for you and for them. The wrong relationships can destroy and take it all away.

Every affiliate marketer is always looking for the successful market that gives the biggest paycheck. Sometimes they think it is a magic formula that is readily available for them. Actually, it is just good marketing practices that have been proven over years of hard work and dedication. There are tactics that have worked before with online marketing and is continuing to work in the online affiliate marketing world of today. With these top three marketing tips, you will be able to able to increase your sales and survive in the affiliate marketing online.

What are these three tactics?

1. Use a unique web page to promote each separate product you are marketing. Never lump several products together just to save some money on web hosting. It is best to have a site focusing on each and every product and nothing more.Always include product reviews on the website so visitors will have an initial understanding of what the product can do for the buyer. Also include testimonials from users who have already tried the product. Be sure that these customers are more than willing to allow you to use their names and photos on the site of the specific product you are marketing. You can also write articles highlighting the uses of the product and include them on the website as an additional page. Make the pages attractive compelling and be sure to include a call-to-action. Each headline should attract the readers interest to read more, and even contact you. Highlight your special points. This will help your readers to learn what the page is about and will want to find out more.

2. Offer freebies to your readers. If possible position them at the very top side of your page so it they simply cannot be missed.Insert a optin box they must fill in to receive the freebie.Ceate autoresponder messages that will be mailed to them to promote your main offer.. According to research, a sale is closed usually on the seventh contact with a prospect.Only two things can possibly happen with the web page alone: closed sale or the prospect leaving the page and never return again. By placing useful information into their inboxes at certain specified period, you will remind them of the product, and and maybe close the sale at a later time. Be sure that the content is directed toward specific reasons to buy the product. Do not make it sound like a sales pitch.Focus on important points like how your product can make life and things easier and more enjoyable. Include compelling subject lines in the email. As much as possible, avoid using the word “free” because there are still older spam filters that dumps those kind of contents into the junk before even anyone can read them. Convince those who signed up for your free reports that they will be missing something big if they do not buy of your products and services.

3. Get the kind of traffic that is targeted to your product. Be sure the person who visited your site has an interest in what you are offering.Targeted traffic is the only traffic that will but your products or services. Write articles for publication in e-zines and e-reports. Try to write a minimum of 2 articles per week, with at least 300-600 words in length. By continuously writing and maintaining these articles you can generate as many as 100 targeted readers to your site in a day. Always remember that only 1 out of 100 people are likely o buy your product or get your services. If you can generate as much as 1,000 targeted hits for your website in a day, that means you can made 10 sales based on the average statistic. The tactics given above do not really sound very difficult to do, if you think about it. It just requires a little time and an action plan on your part. Remember NO ACTION means NO SALES!.Use these tips for several affiliate marketing programs at one time to increase your streams of income.

“Universal Picture Words Or Relatable, Descriptive Sentences.”

Upwords are words that paint vivid pictures in the mind, or expressions that describe an idea to which the mind of your reader (or prospect) can quickly and easily relate to.

The mind hates confusion.

It will naturally translate words or phrases into something it can refer back to, something it already knows, often rapidly and unconsciously, in order to understand what it is told.

For instance, if I told you to think of a garbage can, you’re not going to think of the word “garbage can” or the letters “G,” “A,” “R,” “B,” “A,” “G,” “E,” etc. If I asked you to think of a garbage can your mind will automatically visualize some sort of garbage can.

The Mind remembers pictures not words.

Microsoft and MacIntosh dominate the marketplace in operating systems because, rather than typing some elaborate command for your computer to execute, you can simply use your mouse, point to an icon that represents the command or program, and click.

Icons represent commands, which, when clicked on, are translated into programs (i.e., codes or computer languages) that the computer can understand and execute.

In many ways, the mind works very much like a computer does.

People who know little about computers will likely have a difficult time understanding the various written commands, scripts, and codes that the computer needs to process. Although, most of us can easily identify the icons that symbolize them.

Actually, the brain instantly translates the information it receives into something it can easily understand and act upon — something it already knows and can easily refer to.

Rest assured, there is always a translation process going on.

As we write our copy for our audiences, we must be aware of that. We must be aware of how our readers will “decode” the message we are trying to communicate — hopefully, they will decode it in the way we intended when we “encoded” it in the first place.

The challenge facing most marketers is to ensure that their copy is encoded in the right way — so that it communicates effectively to its audience, especially when getting that message and its benefits across is at the heart of making profitable sales.

So, we must put ourselves in our reader’s shoes.

It is imperative that we communicate using words, phrases, and a language that the vast majority of people in your target market can easily understand and relate.

So, the more you use upwords in your copy, the more your reader will not only be able to visualize and grasp the message you’re trying to convey, but also appreciate that message at a deeper, more intimate, and more visceral level.

Upwords are words and phrases that help messages to be easily read, understood and interpreted by the majority of the people to whom the message is targeted, like with the use of mental imagery, examples, analogies, metaphors, picture words, etc.

That way, their brains have something they can remember, picture, refer back to, and relate with.

Many tend to communicate in a language that only a few understand. If you’re a programmer selling your services to business owners, and your copy is laced with technical jargon that only geeks will understand, you will obviously do very poorly.

Speak their language!

This is a step beyond using simple industry buzzwords and niche-related jargon your audience is used to and comfortable with. You should also mold your message in a way that it can be easily understood by your target market.

If your market consists of artists, use art examples. If it’s comprised of managers, use business analogies. If it’s made up of fishing aficionados, use fishing metaphors. If you are speaking to rose gardeners you could say:

“Your clients are like fresh roses; they need to be handled efficiently. But if handled improperly, they can prick and hurt your business, or simply wilt away.”

There are many more ways of applying upwords to your sales copy. Here are some brief examples of how to mold your message in order to communicate more effectively…

1) Repetitious Words

As the adage goes, “Repetition is the parent of learning.”

Repetition aids comprehension and increases retention, especially of complex or critical ideas. But the objective is not to repeat the same words over and over. It’s to use different examples to illustrate your point and drive the idea home.

So, substitute certain words with synonyms and add new pieces of information each time the idea is repeated. Here’s an example to show you. In order to drive the idea that privacy policies on a website help to increase sales, it can be repeated with:

* “Privacy policies promote purchases,”
* “Privacy statements increase sales,”
* “Confidentiality is a key to online success,”
* “Posting a privacy policy is profitable,” etc.

2) Emotional Words

Words are not messages in themselves. They are symbols. They are chosen in order to symbolize the message we intend to say and hopefully get others to understand.

Different words mean different things to different people. As such, they can be interpreted differently. While several words can be used to communicate a single message, your choice of words is the most important decision you will ever make.

Words can actually alter the impact of your message. For example:

* Instead of “cost,” say “investment,”
* Instead of beautiful “teeth,” say beautiful “smiles,”
* Instead of “skinny,” say “slim” or “slender,”
* Instead of “products” or “services,” say “solutions,”
* Instead of “cost-effective,” say “return on investment,”
* And instead of “house,” say “home.”

3) Positive Words

“Avoid using negative words — say what it is, instead of what it is not.

Our brains need a goal in order to function.

For example, if I told you to not think of a white roses, you will have hard time since your brain needs a goal. It will naturally picture what it is supposed to avoid. The mind needs a reference point and will tend to think about what it is being suggested.

On the other hand, if I asked you to think of a pink roses instead of a white one, you will think of a pink rose. (And you won’t think of a white one!) I gave your mind a goal rather than taking one away from it. I replaced it, in other words.

By stating what something is not can be counterproductive since it is still directing the mind, albeit in the opposite way. If I told you most dental work is painless, you’ll still focus on “pain” in the word “painless,” even though painless has a positive meaning.

Here are some examples of using positive words:

* Instead of saying “inexpensive,” say “economical,”
* Instead of “this proceure is virtually painless,” say “there’s little discomfort,”
* And instead of “this software is error free,” say “consistent” or “stable.”

Also, one of the most negative words we use is the word “but.”

“Buts” can turn any message, which in essence may be positive, into a negative. Plus, a statement followed by the word “but” can subtly communicate that what was said up to that point was a lie or unimportant, and what follows is the truth or the real message.

We are all different. We all come from different backgrounds. We each have a unique education, experience, and environment. They all condition our thinking.

So use analogies, metaphors, and imagery in your copy that will make your message easier to grasp by the majority of your market and you will experience a new level of effectiveness in your copy.

Then go out and Communicate!

You can have the greatest site on the Internet, but if you don’t have traffic you don’t have anything. And if you do have traffic and it is not the right traffic, you still don’t have anything worthwhile.

There are several questions that must be asked and, even more importantly, must be answered if you want to close more sales and make more money on the Net.

- What is the cost of acquiring a new customer?
- How many visitors must you get to close a sale?
- If you can close 1 in 1,000 customers, what are you doing with the 999 visitors that don’t make a purchase?
- More importantly, why are those 999 people leaving without becoming customers?
- Would it be a benefit to spend the same amount and close 10 in 1,000 or 100 in 1,000?
- Can your website function without traffic and customers? Can any business?
- Do you know the difference between targeted traffic and worthless traffic?
- Do you know they usually cost the same?

Just like fuel runs a car, traffic is the fuel that runs the Net. And similarly to real life there are many grades from which to choose – from crude oil to rocket fuel. Traffic also comes in various grades, but only the sophisticated traffic buyer understands the difference and buys the most potent traffic. You must be keenly aware of the subtle differences in traffic. There is no other information that is more valuable if you have a website and plan to make a profit. Not only that, bad or worthless traffic and potent, targeted traffic cost the same in most cases.

Five years ago getting traffic was truly difficult. You needed to be a search engine guru and stay up half the night so as not to lose your position or get lucky and get a good listing. Today you can bid on keywords at google.com, domainsponsor.com, fabulous.com and a dozen other paid search engines. So dollars have replaced time and talent in getting traffic.

It’s not a mystery that someone typing in “cubic zirconia” is about as qualified a customer as you can find looking for fake diamonds. Just the fact that they spelled it right makes them highly targeted and potent. In all likelihood they should be a customer when they arrive at CubicZirconia.com. No search engine, in my opinion, can offer anything that targeted.

The purest form of traffic on the Net does not come from search engines. The purest and most potent traffic comes from what the user types into the browser bar to go to specific domain names. Folks bypass search engines use “direct navigation” instead by typing a specific domain name on the browser bar and hoping to find what they are looking for.

Finding traffic is not so difficult. Finding potent and targeted traffic is a challenge. The value of dotcom domains has skyrocketed since this information became known. Imagine an endless supply of targeted traffic every day. That is what a top notch domain name produces. It’s like having a brick and mortar retail store and everyday 1,000 people were lined up at your store to make a purchase. That is exactly what a domain with “type-in traffic” represents. That “type-in” traffic is the bulls eye, the arrow splitting the apple on William Tell’s head. That traffic is available for sale by domain owners and it has become the most sought after traffic in the entire world.

The only major difference between those making money on the Net and those that aren’t is the traffic they are buying and how capable their website is of closing a sale with that traffic. Buying traffic from search engines is no guarantee of the quality you will get. – quite the opposite. They mix the best with the worst and there is no difference in price for either and it’s unclear they care to control it.

Until now that has been the standard, but the secret is getting out as the more sophisticated traffic buyer realizes what they are doing. Eventually the search engines will have to find some answers and filter out the bad traffic that is not capable of making a sale. Do they have a choice? Will buyers stand for getting garbage and paying premium prices? I don’t think so. In the meantime it is your job to make sure that worthless traffic is filtered out before you get it and pay for it by specifying what is acceptable. No other information is more valuable for the success of your website and the product or service you sell.

Almost 10 years ago, futurist author John Naisbitt wrote about the social effects of the internet in his book, High-Tech/High-Touch. Here’s an excerpt from a synopsis that described the author’s observations…

“… on the effects of technology in reshaping society, the book brings together a mountain of evidence implicating technology in relentlessly accelerating our lives and stirring profound yearnings for a more emotionally satisfying existence.”

It’s simple… the more hi-tech we are, the more we crave for human interaction.

And we’ve responded to an ever-increasing sense of isolation with the help of the web and multimedia technology. There are web-based video sites like YouTube. Social networking sites such as Digg, Flickr, Wikis, MySpace and Facebook, etc. And perpetual ways to keep in contact with IM, video messaging, and texting via cell phones.

The web has grown up. And the term, Web 2.0, reflects it in important ways. For online businesses, it means giving people increased interaction and more control over their content. A curious and new twist on a time-tested marketing term, give people what they want.

Web 2.0 exemplifies the evolution of the internet. But in a way it’s a return to earlier roots by being the information sharing resource it was in the beginning when Al Gore invented it! But with the Web 2.0 twist.

And what does it mean for online businesses? It amplifies the power of the best form of advertising for any business!

Word-of-mouth advertising. Brand building. And getting your business message out to be heard!

The nature of Web 2.0 is viral and contagious. Go to Digg or Del.icio.us and you’ll find out what I mean. As a marketer in this environment, it’s crucial for you to understand the importance of viral marketing and managing your various marketing messages. And it’s important to creating maximum buzz around your products.

But you need to develop a smart strategy.

The best way to take advantage of this new technology is to understand what each has to offer in your marketing plan. Then develop a clear understanding of your business goals and most desired outcome. And no. It’s not as simple as ‘making a boatload of cash!’

It’s really no different than having a tool box. Each tool has its own specific purpose and reason for being. For example… if you want to know how customers feel about a particular topic, you can create a blog to get that kind of information. You can do interviews using either video or podcast and make them available.

Audio is very powerful and diverse. You can increase website conversions, regardless of your most desired response, simply by putting an audio button with a short message on it.

The only limits to what can be done are what you can imagine…

Approach the Web 2.0 evolution with the same strategies used with the more traditional ways of marketing. An integrated approach will serve you well. And the same marketing principles apply. We’re just driving a new vehicle!

Succeeding at online marketing means paying attention and evolving. Businesses that refuse to learn and grow will soon disappear.
